Post subject: Poor Tabby has Dentel Problem, please help!

Hello,

My little tabby has dental problem, since i have no experiense on that, please help me or give me some advises , thank you very much!

I adopted my tabby girl, Feather, a few days ago from humane society. Feather is about 5 - 6 years old. I took her to do a body check-up yesterday and the vet said Feather has dental problem, bad breath, red gum. She is in normal weight, eating normal. But she has a very sensitive stomach, she can only eat dry food.

I am worry about her very much, the vet recommend to do a blood test to find out the causes of the dental problem, and do a dental cleanning for her. But for her condition, this problem may follow her for the rest of her life. The estimate price for the blood test and one time dental cleanning is over $500.

Please share with me if you have similar situation. Also, is anybody purchase insurance that covers the dental treatment? Does it help?

Thank you very much for your time!
Echo.
